Asphalt Pumps
Jacketed Asphalt Pumps Designed Specifically for Asphalt Applications
Materials of Construction
- Cast Iron
- Steel
Design Features
Viking Asphalt Pumps are fitted with integral heating jackets, minimizing the time required to melt the asphalt and prior to startup. Jacketing is available in the bracket, head, casing, and relief valve areas.
These pumps are sealed with packing as standards, but can be fitted with cartridge mechanical seals to prevent leakage, minimizing lost product and cleanup time.
Viking Asphalt Pumps are offered in three versions:
- General Purpose Pumps - Ideal for low pressure transfer of clean blended or cutback asphalts
- Heavy Duty Pumps - Ideal for asphalt emulsions, filled asphalts, polymer modified asphalts, high pressures, and refinery applications. These pumps offer hardened part options for abrasive filled asphalts and are available in steel for refinery service.
- High Speed Pumps - Ideal for low pressure transfer applications like the General Purpose Pumps, but capable of higher speeds, delivering more flow in a smaller size pump
The Asphalt Pump Series includes the following models:
- 34 - Cast Iron Packed General Purpose Pumps
- 434 - Cast Iron Mechanically Sealed General Purpose Pumps
- 224A - Cast Iron Packed Heavy Duty Pumps
- 4224A - Cast Iron Mechanically Sealed Heavy Duty Pumps
- 224AH - Cast Iron Packed High Speed Heavy Duty Pumps
- 4224AH - Cast Iron Mechanically Sealed High Speed Heavy Duty Pumps
- 223A - Steel Packed Heavy Duty Pumps
- 4223A - Steel Mechanically Sealed Heavy Duty Pumps
